The Housing Authority of the City of Laredo received an award of 85 Emergency Housing Vouchers (EHV) through the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). The EHV program will serve the following eligible populations:

  • Homeless,
  • At risk of homelessness,
  • Fleeing, or attempting to flee, domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, stalking, or human trafficking, or
  • Were recently homeless or have a high risk of housing instability

The Emergency Housing Voucher requires a direct referral from the Continuum of Care through its local Coordinated Entry Planning Entity. In order to apply for an EHV, potential applicants must first complete their coordinated entry assessment at Bethany House of Laredo.
