The Housing Authority of the City of Laredo received an award of 85 Emergency Housing Vouchers (EHV) through the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). The EHV program will serve the following eligible populations:
- At risk of homelessness,
- Fleeing, or attempting to flee, domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, stalking, or human trafficking, or
- Were recently homeless or have a high risk of housing instability
The Emergency Housing Voucher requires a direct referral from the Continuum of Care through its local Coordinated Entry Planning Entity. In order to apply for an EHV, potential applicants must first complete their coordinated entry assessment at Bethany House of Laredo. For more information about the Coordinated Entry and or instructions for completing an assessment, please contact Judy Mena at (956)722-4152 ext. 15 or at email@example.com . If you are currently on the waiting list and believe you qualify based on the above preferences, you can also apply for an EHV. If you have any questions, please contact Stephanie Garcia at (956)722-4521 ext. 1205 or at firstname.lastname@example.org.
